Astra Development ("we", "our", or "us") operates the AI Girlfriend: Companion Chat mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The App is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
Account identifier. The App does not require an email address or password. It creates an anonymous account tied to a random identifier stored securely on your device (iOS keychain or Android device identifier) so that your companions and purchases follow you if you reinstall the App.
Conversations. Messages you send to your companions, the companions' replies, voice call transcripts and the memory your companion builds about you (first name, preferences, topics you have discussed) are stored on our servers so that your companion can remember you across sessions.
Photos you send. If you choose to share a photo with a companion, it is analysed by our AI provider to generate a reply and stored with the conversation. You can delete it at any time by deleting the conversation or the companion.
Voice. During voice calls, your microphone audio is streamed to our AI provider in real time to produce the companion's spoken replies. Audio is not recorded by us; only the text transcript of the call is kept with the conversation.
Onboarding answers and preferences. Your answers to the personality quiz, the companions you create (appearance, personality, name) and your display name and avatar choice.
Purchase information. Subscriptions and gem packs are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage entitlements. We never see or store your payment details.
Technical data. Device model, operating system version, app version, language, IP address and timestamps of requests, used for security, abuse prevention and support.
Usage data. Counts of messages, photos, videos, voice notes and call minutes, and your gem balance and history, used to provide the service, enforce quotas and detect abuse.
We do not display advertising and we do not sell personal data.
To generate content, your messages, photos and voice are transmitted to the following processors, who act on our instructions and do not use your data to train their models under our agreements:
All companions are fictional AI characters. Generated images and videos never depict real people.
Messages and photos are automatically screened by AI moderation to keep the App safe and within the rules of the app stores. Content involving minors, non-consensual or illegal activity is refused and may lead to account suspension. Conversations may be reviewed by our team when a report is filed or abuse is suspected.
Conversations, memories and media are kept for as long as you use the App. Deleting a conversation or a companion in the App removes its messages, memories and media. Deleting your account (see below) removes all your data within 30 days. Purchase records are kept as required by law.
The App is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor is using the App, contact us and we will delete the account.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top indicates the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
